Sitting at Provence, trying desperately to finish my thesis, I'm distracted by a small girl - maybe not quite two - who just walked past me, toting a stuffed and worn dog. The sweetness. The innocence. Her huge brown curious eyes. It made me cry. It's all too beautiful.
